Hello for Santos City, Brazil
I am working with  a group of freshmen (five girls and five boys) from Colegio Afonso Pena - High School. They are all very excited and thankful to have been accepted in the Sandwatch Project. They are used to go to the beach since they were little but they never thought about it with an environmental perspective. So the Sandwatch project will give us the opportunity to expose our students to the fact that many of our beaches are  under serious environmental degradation. Hopefully we can show our students that is also our responsibility to maintain our coast clean.
We are working along teachers from others areas such as Biology, Chemistry, Math, Physics, geography,  English and Portuguese. We are looking forward to share our data, observations, photos and ideas with other Sandwatchers. I am particularly excited to see my students spreading out this environmental conscience to their generation.
We met a couple of days ago to discuss some specific ideas for Sandwatch in Santos - Brazil.Again, thank you  for giving us the opportunity to plant and developing an environmental  attitude in our students' heart.
