As a result of the rich mineral culture most foreign
countries such as Portugal, Britain (Colonial Master) came in to trade.
Whiles the trade process was becoming great the foreigners took a strategy
to involve our fore father as part of their trade goods, which was known
as the SLAVE TRADE. With this I can say that most blacks in Europe have
their origin from Ghana and other African countries (I stand to be
corrected).
As a matter of fact SLAVE TRADE Castles and Forts were build around the
coast by our Colonial Masters to undertake the slave trade business and
this has today (after our Independence) become a Tourist attraction for
most foreigners who travel in the country. This is just a little history
about where my group is located.
Since the coastal areas in Ghana is under serious environmental
degradation due to the disposal of refuse and other waste materials, being
part of the SANDWATCH family will give us the opportunity to improve our
the sanitation of the coast in order to bring the objectives of SANDWATCH
to reality and make Tourist feel at home when they visit our coast
(Ghana).
The Sandwatch Project will give us a boost in our quest to promote
Humanity (Humanist Movement Project) which one of our project works. We
will do our best to keep you all updated on our movement as far as the
Sandwatch project is concern.
